For me, Cannes is my inspiration and my breath of fresh air
After growing up in the parisian artistic environment and studying History of Art, Béa Corteel, alias BéaYATO, started working in fashion brands and graphic design. She settled her workstudio in the heart of Cannes, on the French Riviera, where she customizes and upcycles porcelain pieces.
In Provence, she goes hunting for the perfect vintage pieces of porcelain, she creates her own collections, repainting vintage plates, playing with old and new decors, and sends them all around the world.
She turns the plates into personalised pieces or wall art compositions for Hotels, restaurants or stores, architects or interior designers, brands or events,…

For me, Cannes is my inspiration and my breath of fresh air. I draw on its light, its colours and its vibrancy. I am a Cannes resident by adoption, but from the day I arrived, I never left, true to the city’s motto, ‘Those who come here stay here’.
This city and its hills plunging into the Mediterranean are the radiant Cannes, but there is also the secret Cannes, with its passageways, its history and its neighbourhoods.
As an artist and designer, I also discovered a wealth of lesser-known artistic and craft talents there. This sparked a shared desire to promote them and raise their profile. So we created the Association République des Arts, which brings together artists and craftspeople from Cannes and showcases them to locals and visitors from around the world.
