Yiannis Kioroglou
Originally from Athens, Yiannis Kioroglou embodies Mediterranean cuisine at its most generous, sunny and sincere. Trained at the Institut Le Monde after discovering his passion for cooking during his military service, he began his career in Greece before travelling to Italy, Slovenia and Spain, where he perfected his skills at the 3-star Martin Berasategui restaurant.

My career
Since 2013, he has been in charge of the kitchens at La Guérite in Cannes, a place he has transformed into a veritable gastronomic benchmark. True to his Greek roots, his cuisine is also nourished by his many Mediterranean inspirations. He favours cooking over an open fire, in an oven or on the barbecue, with an approach that is authentic, healthy and generous. His signature: sublimating the best seasonal produce, carefully selected from local fishermen and producers.
Today, he also oversees the kitchens at La Guérite in Saint-Barthélemy, Shellona in Saint-Tropez and Saint-Barth, as well as several iconic establishments in Cannes – including Anna as well as Il Grande, Medusa and La Petite Maison at Palm Beach – not forgetting Anna Paris. A lover of real taste and fresh produce, he continues to export his culinary art to the four corners of the globe, from the Mediterranean to Dubai, Miami and Mykonos.
” Cannes was once a dream — now it feels like home, my culinary home. The people here love food and quality products, and that has helped me grow and express my culinary philosophy. From early in the morning, you can feel this love for gastronomy with a simple walk through my beloved Marché Forville, filled with true lovers of taste. I’m lucky to be here, but I also deeply believed in the city’s potential — and the daily love I receive from its people is my greatest reward. Cannes, I love you. “
